New Farm Curry House

The New Farm Curry House is officially the Brisbane Curry Clubs new #1 restuarant. Outstanding food and service.

The couple that own/run New Farm Curry House (NFCH) could not be any nicer. They are always friendly and welcoming. Their attitude clearly rubs off on to producing amazing delicious food and service that is, in our view, second to none - out of all the restuarants that we have visited.

For the record, we ordered the below items from the menu. Unfortunately the NFCH website has been out of action for a while, so we selected from their sister restuarant website - Paddington Curry House. From my side of the table, the vote for the most outstanding dish went to the Prawn Goan. Next best, for me, was the Beef Vindaloo, Aloo Gobi, Palak Paneer and Saffron Rice. All very delicious. Finished off by a perfect litle mango dessert. Note that they now serve beer and wine, as well as BYO.

If we could point out any improvements. The website needs to be fixed. The Naan was probably the worst that we have had - quite stiff and 'store brought' like. For me, as a Lamb Rogan Josh fan, theirs was good, but not great. Regarding ambience and comfort. The restuarant is inside but open front. Which 90% of the time in Brisbane would be great. However, last night was one of those muggy Brisbane evenings, and we had one ceiling fan above working its butt off to cool down 24 of us. We were a little hot and sweaty, which made it a little uncomfortable. A couple of portable AC unit in the corner wouldn't have gone amiss.
