Naan is a leavened, oven-baked or tawa-fried flatbread, which is found in the cuisines mainly of Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and the Caribbean.

Recipe Ingredients:
2 cups plain flour
2 tbsp natural yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
1 tsp dry yeast
¼ cup oil/ melted butter
¼ cup warm milk
Salt to taste
Recipe Method:
Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, knead well & make dough. Cover the dough with a lid, and leave it in a warm place to rise for 20 minutes to 2 hours.
Knead the dough again. Make small balls out of it. Roll out the balls into tear drop shaped flat breads.
Now preheat the grill, and place a pizza stone under it. When the stone is hot enough, lower the
grill temperature, and place the flat bread on the stone. Cook.
Alternatively, you can also cook them on the stove top.
Notes:
For glazing, brush the flat breads with melted butter just before serving.
To make garlic naan, combine melted butter and garlic, and brush the flat breads with it.
